Prescriptions are sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice at no additional charge. We do not prescribe controlled substances (narcotics, benzodiazepines, or stimulants).
What's the difference between telehealth, telemedicine, and virtual care?
These three terms mean the same thing: medical care delivered by phone, chat, or video rather than in person. All three involve licensed medical professionals, doctors, nurse practitioners, and constitute a real clinical consultation. A telehealth visit with Your Doctors Online is a legitimate medical appointment, not a chat service.
Can I get a doctor's note online in BC?
Yes, after a clinical assessment. If your physician determines a note is medically appropriate, it will be issued as a signed PDF including the physician’s name, CPSBC licence number, date of consultation, and contact details. BC employers and educational institutions accept notes issued by licensed physicians, whether in-person or virtual.
What if my condition can't be treated online?
We will tell you. If your symptoms require a physical examination, emergency care, or in-person specialist assessment, your physician will advise you directly and explain where to go. We do not provide false reassurance to keep you on the platform. For emergencies, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.
